Want to find out about what I get up to when I'm not working? Check out my blog page, Ramelia's Hoofprints, to follow my equine adventures!
Dante is a 15.2hh Thoroughbred x gelding, who I have had since he was 4. He's now 10 years old, and we mainly concentrate on dressage, although we also love jumping & x-country. Hacking is not Dan's forte, however I would love to have a go at endurance on him one of these days! Dante is beginning to work up to elementary/medium level at home, and has previously competed up to novice with me.
Peanut is the youngest of my bunch. He was imported from Germany in November 2012, and was bred by my friend, Aylin Kay.
I'm fortunate that I rode Peanut's sire, Lathomdale Romany for a time & also his dam, Dalefoot Echo on a few occasions. It was this experience that made me decide to purchase a Fell pony & knowing both sire & dam, it made perfect sense to buy Peanut.
Peanut went to his first few shows this year, which he handled exceptionally well. He has been exceptionally well behaved which was our main aim, and bagged a few rosettes as a bonus! He is now having a quiet winter, and in the new year we hope to do a few more shows & begin his ground work more seriously, and lightly back him, with the aim of beginning his ridden work once he turns 4, in 2016.
Dimples is my first pony - I've now owned him for 10 years & he is here to stay now, after being in other homes since I outgrew him. He is a real character & never fails to make me smile. Currently we're attempting to 're-educate' him, as he has never had much schooling & now he is getting on a little & feel it's important to keep him as fit & flexible as possible, so he is learning everything we can teach him from the ground. I'm pretty excited about this as I think with time, he could be a little superstar! (not that he isn't already of course!)
